Spend Visibility
Spend & Analytics
Definition
The degree to which an organisation can see and understand its total spend across categories, suppliers and business units.
Explanation
Without visibility, spend is managed blind. Good visibility — consolidated, classified, timely data — is the prerequisite for savings, compliance and risk management. Fragmented systems and poor data are its main enemies.
Example
After unifying data from three ERPs, the team gains full spend visibility for the first time.
