This makes the metal detectable, and in larger food processing environments, the product can be put through a metal detector. Metal detectable plasters are supplied with an aluminum sheet under the wound pad that can be detected by a metal detector making them ideal for employees working in the food processing and handling areas. They protect against cross contamination between blood and the products handled. *The aluminium sheet can be only detected by non-ferrous metal detector or a non-ferrous metal sensor.
