ERP PunchOut Catalog Integration: Connect Your ERP Directly to Lapasar Mall

What is PunchOut catalog integration? — short answer

Lapasar Mall supports cXML PunchOut catalog integration, so procurement teams on SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle and other cXML-compatible eProcurement systems can shop Lapasar Mall's B2B catalog from inside their own ERP. Carts return to the ERP electronically, keeping approvals, budgets and purchase orders in your existing system with zero re-keying.

Enterprise procurement teams in Malaysia lose hours re-keying supplier catalogs, quotes and orders between systems. PunchOut fixes that: your ERP opens Lapasar Mall's live catalog in a secure session, your buyers shop at your negotiated pricing, and the cart returns to your ERP as an electronic requisition. This guide explains how PunchOut works, which systems connect, what Lapasar Mall supports today, and how onboarding runs.

Which ERP and eProcurement systems can connect?

Lapasar Mall's punchout gateway speaks cXML PunchOut — the protocol used by the major eProcurement suites. If your platform supports cXML punchout catalogs, it can connect.

How does a PunchOut session work?

  1. Your buyer clicks Lapasar Mall inside your ERP — Your eProcurement system sends a cXML PunchOutSetupRequest to Lapasar Mall's punchout gateway. A secure, single-use session is created for that buyer — no separate logins or passwords to manage.
  2. They shop the live catalog at your pricing — The buyer lands in Lapasar Mall's catalog with your company's pricing applied — negotiated contract rates and buyer-specific price lists, not generic list prices. Stock and pricing are live, not a stale hosted catalog file.
  3. The cart returns to your ERP as cXML — At checkout, the cart is posted back to your eProcurement system as a cXML PunchOutOrderMessage (browser form post) — line items, quantities, unit prices and SKUs arrive electronically. Nobody re-types anything.
  4. Your own approvals and budgets apply — The returned cart becomes a requisition inside your ERP, where your existing approval chains, budget checks and policies run exactly as they do for any other purchase. Lapasar Mall also records the cart on its side for traceability.
  5. Your ERP issues the PO and Lapasar Mall fulfils — Once approved, your ERP sends the purchase order to Lapasar Mall, which picks, packs and delivers from its own 200,000 sq ft warehouse and 100+ truck fleet. Order status can flow back to your systems through the integration API.

Why connect your ERP to Lapasar Mall?

How does onboarding work?

  1. Discovery call — Tell us which ERP or eProcurement system you run (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or another cXML-capable platform) and how your requisition-to-PO flow works today.
  2. Credential exchange and catalog setup — We exchange punchout endpoint details and credentials with your ERP team, map your buyer company, and load your negotiated contract pricing so sessions open at your rates from day one.
  3. Test round trip — Your team runs a full test: launch a punchout session from the ERP, build a cart, return it, and push a test purchase order through your approval flow to Lapasar Mall.
  4. Go live — Once the round trip is verified, buyers get the Lapasar Mall tile in their ERP. The pace is usually set by your ERP team's change-control calendar; Lapasar Mall's side is handled by our integration team at no platform cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is punchout catalog integration?

Punchout lets buyers open a supplier's live catalog from inside their own ERP or eProcurement system. Instead of maintaining static catalog files, the buyer shops the supplier's real catalog at negotiated pricing, and the cart returns to the ERP electronically as a requisition — so approvals, budgets and purchase orders stay in the buyer's own system.

Does Lapasar Mall support cXML or OCI punchout?

Lapasar Mall supports cXML PunchOut today — the protocol used by SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle and most modern eProcurement platforms. OCI (the older SAP round-trip format) is not currently offered. If your system is OCI-only, contact us to discuss options: the integration REST API and the free self-serve portal are alternatives that work without punchout.

Which ERP and eProcurement systems can connect to Lapasar Mall?

Any platform that speaks cXML PunchOut can connect — including SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle iProcurement and Oracle Fusion, Jaggaer, Ivalua, GEP SMART and Zycus. If you are unsure whether your system supports cXML, ask your ERP administrator or contact the Lapasar Mall integration team with your system name and version.

Do punchout sessions show our negotiated contract pricing?

Yes. Punchout sessions open with your company's pricing applied — buyer-specific contract rates and negotiated price lists, resolved by the same pricing engine used across Lapasar Mall. Your buyers see the prices your procurement team agreed, not generic list prices.

How do purchase orders and order status flow after a punchout cart is returned?

The returned cart becomes a requisition in your ERP, your approval workflow runs, and your ERP issues the purchase order to Lapasar Mall. Lapasar Mall also records the punchout cart internally for traceability, and order status and product data can sync back to your systems through the API-key-authenticated integration REST API.

Is there a cost to set up punchout with Lapasar Mall?

Lapasar Mall does not charge platform fees for punchout integration — the platform is free for business buyers. Your own ERP team or implementation partner may have internal change-control costs on your side, which is typically the main driver of the go-live timeline.

What if my company doesn't run an enterprise ERP?

You don't need one. Lapasar Mall includes a free self-serve procurement portal with the same governance enterprises get from an ERP: purchase requisitions, multi-step approvals, budgets and cost centres, GL codes and spend analytics — so smaller teams can run controlled procurement without buying an eProcurement suite.

How long does punchout onboarding take?

Lapasar Mall's side — credentials, buyer mapping and contract pricing — is handled by its integration team and is not the bottleneck. Overall timing is usually set by your ERP team's change-control and testing calendar. A discovery call, credential exchange, one test round trip and go-live is the full sequence.
