This filler metal is used for welding of similar alloys in wrought or cast form. ER309LHiSil is mostly used for welding dissimilar materials such as carbon or mild steel to stainless steel, as well as for a barrier layer in stainless steel. The weld beads are exceptionally smooth due to good wetting, and has good general corrosion resistance. Spool comes in size of 300mm diameter.
